1. TRAINING CAMP 5-PINS YOUTH.
The weekend of 24-26 May sees 7 young players from Germany, Denmark, France, Netherlands and Czech Republic gather in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, for a training camp in 5-pins under the supervision of 5-pins coach Luca Marzio Garavaglia. The camp will be held at Bergisch Gladbacher Billiards Club, founded in 1926 and located in the same building as Paffrath Integrated Comprehensive School. The whole area is very sport dedicated and will give a great atmosphere to the camp.
CEB will cover all costs for the players during the weekend except travel. The camp is a part of the ongoing partnership with Longoni Cues to develop and grow the youth billiards in Europe. 5-pins is a very popular game in some parts of Europe but deserves a bigger audience, as it combines strategy, defense and offense play in a very interesting way, and it’s also a good beginner’s game. We hope that this camp will help to grow the recognition of 5-pins in the billiards world.
2. TRAINING CAMP 3-CUSHION LADIES.
As previous years, CEB will again organize a training camp in 3-cushion for women at Wedel Billiard Club (Germany), with Martin Horn as the head coach. More details will come soon, but mark the date 9-11 August in your calendars.
3. NEW DATES IN CALENDAR.
Kindly take note of the following new dates added to the CEB calendar for the sport season 2024-2025:
March 2025, 19th to 23th: European Championships Artistic Individual and National Teams in Florange (France);
April 2025, 8th to 13th: European Championships 3-Cushion National Teams and Individual in Ankara (Turkiye).
National Federations are kindly requested to do not use conflicting dates for National events of the same kind.
4. PREDATOR GRAND PRIX 3-CUSHION LADIES HERSTAL (BELGIUM).
Registrations will be opened on CEB website and by email on June 4th. All information will be published on the dedicated CEB info page.
5. DEADLINES.
Deadline reminder for the registration of club teams for the Coupe d'Europe 3-Cushion in Porto: Monday May 20th, 2024.
6. WCBS CHAMPIONSHIP.
CEB announces the nominations for the European representatives for the discipline of 3-Cushion. Europe 1: Torbjörn Blomdahl and Jaimie Buelens. Europe 2: Ruben Legazpi and Karina Jetten. The WCBS Championship will take place in Kielce (Poland) in July 2024, 25th to 28th.
7. NEW MEMBERS CORNER PAGE
Following the request of some federations to have some efficient tools for developing our sport, we launched the announced new page on CEB website. Thanks to the Fédération Française de Billard for the first contents uploaded. The new page can be found under the "Sport" menu. We invite all National Federations wishing to share contents or best practices to visit the page where an e-mail address is provided for this goal.
