KOREAN YUN DO SONG WINS WORLD JUNIOR GOLD
European representatives secured multiple medals on the World Championship 3-Cushion U22 podium, but the top prize went to 17-year-old Korean Yun Do Song.
In the tenth inning of the final, Song scored a run of 12, followed by a 2 and a 6, making the task extremely difficult for Amir Ibraimov (Germany). The final score stood at 40–32 in the Korean's favor meaning a gold medal for Song and a silver for Ibraimov.
In the semifinals, Ibraimov eliminated Spain's Marcos Morales (40–32 in 26/25), while Song defeated Seymen Ozbas from Turkiye (40–34 in 35/34). Morales and Ozbas took home a bronze medal.
