ISTANBUL – Veni, vidi, vici, was a well-known statement of Julius Ceasar. A younger version, we saw in the World Cup 3-cushion,who was held in the Besiktas Akatlar Arena, in Istanbul. His name is Murat Naci Coklu and was for a while the big hero after his victory in the final, against Roland Forthomme. Yes it is true. He wobbled in the semifinals against the Dutch player Dick Jaspers. But at least, he won after the penalties. In the final he beats Roland Forthomme with 40 -29. Roland Forthomme defeated Eddy Merkxs in the semifinals in a neck and neck race with 40 – 39. In a interview, Murat Naci Coklu, had many thanks to his Turkish federation, who tries to do a big support of the billiard sport. And also he was very grateful for the support of the hole Board of the Turkish federation, during this tournament.
