Two new European Champions were crowned today at the European Billiards Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel/Germany. Xavier Grettilat from Switzerland won the Balkline 47/2-event with a clear score of 250:0 after two innings against Willy Gerimont from France. On day 5 of the European Billiards Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel/Germany two further competitions were completed. New European champion in the Junior 5-pins discipline is the Italian Riccardo Matino who beat Lukas Mortensen 3:1 in the final. The Danish youngster was only able to compete in the second and third set, but managed only to win the second one. At the European Billiards Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel/Germany, the only competition that ended on Sunday was the 5-pins individual event. Once again this one was completely in the hands of the Italian players. This year’s European Billiards Championships will begin this Thursday evening. Following 2013, 2015 and 2017 the City of Brandenburg an der Havel/Germany is the host of the continental championships for the fourth time in a row. International 5-pins Tournament Rouen (France)

The Rouen Billiard Club did host this weekend (April 13th and 14th) an International 5-pins tournament with 30 players coming from several European countries (France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Luxemburg and Czech Republic). The players were split into 6 groups of 5. The first 2 of each group and 4 best amongst the players ranked at the third place were qualified for the final round.
